2 hours flight from Madrid, I am now in Brussels, Belgium to have meetings and attend some conferences. Thanks to Ilse De Bondt, I could join the Disruptive Innovation Day 2014. This conference was focused on “keynote speech” and “networking” that you could see many people from many domains. As speakers, such as Sean Gourley, Peter Hinssen, and Simon Mainwaring, joined and shared their insights and experiences with the audience. Some of their opinions are totally provocative that their open many people’s eyes to see and accept the reality.
Unlike this type of conference in other countries, a lot of senior level officers were in the conference. I believe it indicates that the interest in changing the society in Belgium has been increasing and huge corporations are looking for the solution to survive in this rapid-changing society. While the majority of people pay attention to San Francisco and Tel-aviv, I am strongly interested in what is going on Belgium. For example, it is not well known but there is a number of art galleries and creative people. I happened to meet with Richard Bos, Multi-media producer at New Europe. On the one hand, he has his own branding and media production, producing a serious news channel, interviewing political figures around the world. On the other hand, he has rich experience in the music industry and has produced musicians. It is not easy to find this type of people who has broad range of knowledge and experience from the msssmedia to the music.
I have positive expectancy in the work in Belgium.
